Our second visit to Annstead House. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Beach walks, pubs and fish n chips all within a short walk. House lovely and warm. Well equipped with everything you need. Didnt want to come home!

We look forward to our pre Christmas break at Seahouses and Bamburgh and Annstead make the ideal base.
We have stayed at Annstead several times, it's ideal for us. Clean and comfortable, well equipped, private parking and very close to the centre of Seahouses, Annstead is a great base. We will be booking it again.
It was the perfect booking for me and my husband to bring my 86 year old parents who have mobility issues and the 2 dogs too. We all had a wonderful holiday and 3 days after getting home we've just rebooked Anstead house for another week in March.
Loved the property and how accessible it was to amenities and shopping. My only concern was there wasnt enough soft seats for 6 adults, even in the conservatory there was only enough seating for 4. We brought the chairs in from the garden so we could all sit together. However we have booked again for next year as it has all the other facilities we need.
We've been several times to Annstead House as we love the location as it is close to beach and to shops. It is well equipped and has a secure garden and good conservatory. However we would prefer if there was better lighting in all the downstairs rooms especially the lounge unable to read a book due to several bulbs not working and the bathroom which has a very poor light output. Also, not all pillows had protectors on and were stained!!!! Nonetheless, we have booked again for next year and would be very happy if we found all the bedding to be spotless, especially as we encountered this problem 2 years ago with a mattress protector being stained.

Our 3rd annual visit to Annstead House next year already booked! . From walking in we felt at home, and settled as everyone knew where everything was and where they were going especially Kevin the Lurcher. We had an issue with the curtain rail in the living room, which we reported, but as it wasn't spoiling our holiday, we didn't feel the need for it to be repaired whilst we were there. Other than that, everything was more than adequate for our needs. We all enjoyed having the extra space in the conservatory, which we made good use of. Seahouses has everything you need to have a great holiday, and coupled with the location, and comfort of the property, we can't wait to return next year.

Amazing holiday ,would have been nice to have the correct glasses for Prosecco, needs more lighting in the conservatory, these are just little things , had to report a problem with a curtain rail and someone came out at 9 am next morning,so very good service,we intend to come back ,Cantonese for the area
Fantastic place to stay, the photos don't do it justice. The property was wellstocked with a wide variety of kitchen equipment, such as cookware, bakeware, utensils, appliances, and dinnerware. All the rooms were lovely, the conservatory was really nice, and it has a good garden for the dog to run around in. Great quiet location, with easy access to the shops and the beaches. Plenty of places to visit, including the lovely tranquil holy island, plus many beaches with soft golden sand and plenty of castles All in all like a second home near the beach. Thank you so much for letting us stay. Would we stay again, definitely!
Really great property in a brilliant location for both Seahouses and the rest of the Northumberland coast.

We thought the house was great for what we needed 3 friends holiday so all had comfy bedrooms we did book for a dog but decided a last minute not to take her but if we had the garden was good the only problem we had was the fridge had been cleaned with something fragranced and it tainted everything we put in would highly recommend others to stay

A great property. Secure garden for the dogs. Lots to do and enjoy in the area. We hope to visit again.

We have really enjoyed our stay at Annstead house , we have stayed in many houses in Seahouses over the years and i must say this is our favourite , so much so we have immediatley booked again for next year , the house is in a perfect position , very quiet and near to shops , golf course and harbour , the garden is perfect for my dog , fully enclosed and a lovely place to sit and relax , the large conservatory is nice to sit and watch the birds coming and going just one thing that needs a bit of fixing is the few windows that need replacing as they steam up on the inside of the double glazing and you cant see through but not a problem for us , the loungedining room is comfortable ,the kitchen had everything we needed , the bedrooms were good and were ensuite , would recommend
This was the nicest and cleanest property we have stayed in. It had everything we needed for our stay, even clean bedding for our second week which we havent had before. We were out a lot of the time because we love exploring the coast. Our family of four joined the two of us for the second week and they enjoyed it also. Convenient and extremely quiet location. We would be very happy to return.

House is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Would be good to have thicker curtains on the windows and a recycling bin in the kitchen, but otherwise a great stay. Seahouses is a great little town and this house is a great option for accomodation.
Great location. Well equipped. Has a well kept garden which is enclosed and ideal for dogs. Great value.
Trevor
Second year in a row we have booked this property and the location is ideal for exploring Northumberland. House is well maintained and has extras such as a welcome pack, games etc. The conservatory is a nice area to sit in and great facilities for the four adults and two children in our party.
Property was in an excellent location and parking was great. However considering the 4 star Sykes rating the overall condition of the property was disappointing compared to other Sykes cottages we have visited. Number of light bulbs not working in the living room, dining room, hallway and downstairs bedroom. Electric recliner sofa didn't work, windows downstairs in need of replacing or resealing lots of mist and condensation between the panes which meant you could really see out of them. Living room carpet could do with replacing. Many of the vertical blinds downstairs had bead strings either missing or hanging off, and the blinds in the conservatory were really old and stiff. No cleaning materials eg for toilets, hoover etc to help us keep the place clean during the week. Outside, the garden was brilliant for dog but could benefit from an outside light for night time.
Great location and super house, everything you need was in the house. Just had a lovely time.
Great property in an ideal setting, 5mins from town and 10 mins from beach All the home comforts at hand
One of the best properties weve stayed in and a great location. Attention to detail is something I always notice and it was there in abundance. The hamper was a lovely touch! Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.
Sandra
A lovely warm cosy cottage. Much more spacious inside than it looks from the outside. We spent all our daylight hours in the large comfortable conservatory. The house is in a good position for all amenities and the seafront. Our two dogs loved the enclosed garden. The only downside was the washing machine, which seemed to have a mind of its own. I would definitely recommend the cottage and Seahouses to anyone.
Graham
Excellent accommodation ideally located within the Town of Seahouses within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour and the main street shops. The accommodation had all you could want with a lovely conservatory for a relaxing early morning coffee and afternoon tea.
This is our 2nd stay at Annstead House and we have enjoyed it very much. It is in an excellent location, equipped with everything we needed, the beds are comfy and the house is warm and cosy. Private parking is a real bonus. We are happy to recommend Annstead House, we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Jennifer
What a lovely hidden treasure! The photos of this home do not do it the justice it deserves. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of kitchen essentials. I was worried when I saw a comment about not enough cutlery, however, there was more than enough for our family of 5. Beautiful conservatory which I could see being a delight in the summer.
Warm and comfortable property in a fantastic location in Seahouses. Secure garden was ideal for our dogs. Only minor complaint was the lack of cutlery, dont know why there was only 1 fork and no dessert spoons.
Alison
Another great weeks stay at Annstead House. Everything you need for a very comfortable holiday. Plenty of space with the lounge and conservatory, a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, lots of storage for clothes etc, hot water in abundance, and an enclosed garden for the dog. The upstairs shower is a bit on the snug side for adults, but usable. A quiet cul de sac at the end of the town, but a quick 5 minute stroll into the town either by the road, or the coastal path. The beaches are to die for, as is the scenery. Locals extremely friendly, and Stottys butchers do the best sausages ever. We were blessed with excellent weather too. We loved our stay, and had already booked our return for 2025 before this year's holiday. Thank you Annstead House, and Seahouses, for a fantastic break.
We have just come back from our first stay at Annstead House and it was great, deceiving property looks small but in fact is very spacious. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Looking forward to visiting again next year.
Jackie
This was our third consecutive stay at Annstead House and I must admit to feeling a bit disappointed at how run down the house has become. I have always rated it a five in the past but sadly am unable to do so this time. There was no welcome pack on arrival, a bit of a disappointment after a long four hour drive. The whole house needs some TLC, the walls are full of dirty marks and the cushions and curtains are badly in need of replacing. On our first visit the blinds in the conservatory were broken at the bottom, two years on and the still remain broken. Annstead House is a lovely house and in a great location, it just needs a bit of money and work to bring it back up to scratch. Guests pay a good deal of money to rent this property and deserve better than they are getting at the moment. If cosmetic improvements were made I would return to Annstead House in the future.
Since our last stay in June 21 the property is now in desperate need of a makeover. Ie most of the windows are blown, the runner in the conservatory was absolutely filthy, plus cushions in the lounge need replacing.Generally the property is looking very tired considering how much we paid for our weeks stay.
A lovely property. A real home from home. Very clean. Great location too.
A lovely property in a quiet location in the heart of Seahouses which is a stunning seaside town. The property is spacious and clean, great for our dogs with the large secure garden. I would say that the property is looking tired, decor wise, and the mattress in the downstairs bedroom definitely needs replacing, we could feel almost every spring. Overall a fabulous holiday and I would recommend the property.
Lovely cottage, very clean but we could have done with a hoover just to freshen up, labradors do shed a bit
Philip
The property was in a lovely condition & it had all the necessary essentials we needed for our stay. Just a note to find the cutlery draw would be useful, it is a property I would recommend to family & friends.
Stephen
Great property very comfortable
Robert
All in all the house was good. It was clean, comfy ,well equipped, cozy and in a great situation, quiet and relaxing One suggestion would be to replace the shot double glazing units. There's so many that it detracts from the appearance, but it wouldn't stop us returning
Trevor
We have stayed in a number of Northumberland properties over the last 8 years and we all agreed this property was the best for facilities and position. Rooms were all a good size and the house had everything you needed. The conservatory is a nice place to sit and garden good size for children and the dog and is well maintained. The property is in a quiet cup de sac within easy walking distance of good cafes, shops, golf club and the harbour. We really enjoyed our weeks stay in Annstead House. The property has a really helpful book with information about the area and places to visit but unfortunately it is 2 years out of date for key information like Holy Island tide times and bin collections. The hot water is set very high which could be a hazard for young children.
Christopher
Unfortunately we where very disappointed, the drain in the shower downstairs was blocked to the point the bathroom flooded , husband had to unblock the drain as we couldnt get hold of anyone at the local office or Sykes themselves 48 hrs later Sykes phoned us back . There no washing machine and took two days for Sykes to arrange for clean towels as we had to use towels to mop up water as there was no mop. Then our daughter complained about the upstairs double bed husband had a look and the frame was broken and had been for sometime once again getting to speak to someone was impossible so husband bought screws and glue and mended it ! obviously no one informed anyone prior the frame was broken Still waiting for Sykes to contact us to discuss our stay despite being assured customer relations would call us back. What is needed is a direct number for the office in seahouses as otherwise you are left waiting for Sykes to contact them resulting in it taking days for anything to get sorted.
