Kennie Cottage Reviews

Location and general condition very good. Cooking facilities adequately equipped and working well. Shower very good though I'd've put a grab handle on the wall by the open tray. Hot water system difficult to use. Bed very comfortable. Rads effective and workable. Bathroom rad not controllable always v. hot. Multifuel stove too much work. Lucky next door Bowsprit cottage was untenanted that week, or parking would have been a serious problem. Living room rug had a lot of dog hair, which the vacuum cleaner seemed unable to remove. Filters blocked? Carol removed some with kitchen paper.
The cottage is a credit to the owners a lot more than needed is available to use. We could see that comfort was high on the list, quality furnishings throws & bedding. Which is normally missing in dog accepting holiday lets,so we appreciate that kennie cottage is super dog friendly. Makes it a home from home for us lifetime doggie owners. Parking is tight as described just managed to squeeze in vw tiguan. Downstairs loo a bouns for my legs after gr8 walks. Excellent location in the thick of it beach 2mins away also small patch of grass just on corner for late night last visit for the hounds. The schooner pub excellent & welcoming reasonable prices. The olde ship excellent for food. Chinese takeout best ever. So pleased we choose this cottage. Regards Michelle and ray Whitby cottage owners
Really good location within easy walking distance of everything you could need. Spacious and impeccably clean accomodation.
Lovely Lovely cottage. .. matching plates, mugs and glasses would have been nice! And the keysafe would have been better on the back door! But I would certainly stay again ! Very cosy and a great location. Thank you

The property has a good location, parking is round the back of the cottage down the lane. Cottage has anything & everything you could ever think of needing.
Great based for our 5 day holiday with all the facilities we needed. Comfy beds, two toilets and everything we needed in the kitchen. A quick walk to the sea and off road parking. The dog felt very at home too and it was great to have a stair gate to keep him downstairs. We would highly recommend staying in this cottage.
A beautiful quaint cottage in an ideal location for exploring the area. Immaculately clean and well provisioned. Provided us with everything we needed for a great stay in the area.
Lovely cottage. Plenty of space. Went with a little dog and a 10 month old. Room to set up a playpen in the lounge and a cot in the bedroom. I can't think of anything that we were missing. Welcome cleaning and tea and biscuits pack a lovely touch. Two minutes from town centre and all the facilities Would definitely use this cottage when visiting Seahouses in the future.

We a couple totally enjoyed our stay at Kennie cottage. We love Seahouses and the surrounding areas and have just stayed there 2 weeks prior, in a different property with our grandchildren. It was very well supplied with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return for another weekend stay or even longer. Just the two of us, the lack of a garden or outdoor space to the rear is limiting in our opinion.we were aware of this before booking Although it is a busy little street, being close to the centre of seahouses it was very quiet and no noise from adjoining properties Our only gripe was the parking. It stated in the listing off street parking for one vehicle. The space allocated is very small. We took our larger car and couldnt fit in the gap reserved. Luckily after talking to other holiday makers and a resident they kindly moved along to allow us the space. Sykes should definitely have this noted in the description of the property. One of the other holiday makers who was in a property in the same row had scratched their car, as the lane at the back is very tight! Other people we had spoken to said they had been told by their booking agent to reverse in! The front of the property is double yellow lines! Would it stop us from returning no as it is very comfortable, homely and convenient. It is very reasonably priced as well. We would just take our smaller car and this time we would be aware of the parking from the start It is something to be aware of however.
Although the equipment supplied was more than adequate we thought a clock in the lounge would be an advantage .
