Old Bakery No2 Reviews

Although fairly well traveled this was our first cottage holiday and was a late booking as the weather forecast was good. We were delighted by the property location in Seahouses with restaurants, pubs, shops, harbour and beach all within an easy walk and beautifully central for attractions up and down the Northumbrian coast.Perfect. Parking space was adequate and the cottage was very clean and well maintained. All in all excellent value for money. If I was being picky there is a very minor fault with the outside light switch which probably just needs a wire tightened and long term the bathroom will need updating or refurbed grouting, mixer tap on shower or electric shower minor things that would not stop us booking again. So,overall a wonderful stay in a wonderful part of the country
Lovely little property, really convenient for shops, no need to use the car for Seahouses attractions. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. Just two minor points the washing machine was not able to be used, and the toilet could do with a little more 'oomph', very slow to refill and a weak flush.

Excellent location in centre of town. Very clean. Good communication from owner. Good private parking space. Despite being in town centre, very quiet. Highly equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed. The only negative was the outside porch area, which was dirty with a build up of bird droppings on the floor and bike rack. However, would definitely stay again.
Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable and very handily placed in the centre of Seahouses just behind the Coop. The cottage was well kitted out with everything we needed to have a great holiday. The owner contacted us while we were there to check everything was ok which was a nice touch. All the info from Sykes Cottages was great.

Surprisingly quiet. A very convenient location for shops, restaurants and walks along the sands. The house was wellfitted and the owner was helpful and keen to make our stay successful.

A very comfortable, clean, very well equipped property. Really convenient for all shops, amenities, places to eat etc and the parking provision is a real bonus. We really enjoyed our stay at No 2 The Old Bakery, Thanks very much
We had a lovely fortnight here. The cottage is centrally located, yet surprisingly quiet. The King size bed is great with no nasty dip in the middle! The parking space right outside was a real plus. It was lovely and clean and well maintained apart from one tiny glitch that we've already chatted to Alison about. Just one other small point it would have been good to have been offered a change of bedding and towels for our second week, but we definitely plan to return next year! Thank you.
Jacqueline
The cottage was lovely well equipped, very very central to the town, easy parking and very easy to find. The only concern we had was we had a few issues with the TV and reception but I think that might have just been where we were.
Lovely, clean, wellequipped accommodation. Good location. Would happily return.
The property is well situated in the town centre with all shops and amenities just a short walk away . Very clean and comfortable with its own parking spot outside the front door . A lovely spot to get out and about or take it easy as we did .
Lovely accommodation in a great location. We have stayed here before but this is the first time with the new owners. No 2 The Old Bakery has been tastefully decorated, is exceptionally clean and has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We will not hesitate to book again.
The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The location was very handy for the shops and pubs and having dedicated parking was a real plus.

The information in the manual needs updating for bus timetables, tide times for Holy Island. The information about locating the cottage needs updating as the name of the Links Hotel has been painted out. Maybe use the petrol station as an indicator instead. Key safe we found it difficult to operate without full instructions Instructions for using the electric cooker would be useful for those who use gas at home. These points didn't stop us enjoying our stay as we managed to get updated timetables from the information office.
This is a very comfortable property in close proximity to Seahouses town centre. Had a lovely week and would happily stay again.
