Sandy Shores Reviews

We have been to Sandy Shores many times now and love it there. It is clean, comfortable and has everything we need. We love to sit in the conservatory. Thank you for the welcome gifts, very much appreciated.
This is our second stay at this property and well be booking it again next year. Its in a great location and is well maintained. The cleanliness of the property is good but would benefit from a spring clean.
Stephen
A lovely comfortable and well equipped holiday home. Within walking distance of amenities and the beach, so ideal location. Would benefit from a deep clean as some areas were dusty ie downstairs loo and bathroom edges, kitchen a bit sticky too.
Charles
We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Shores. The property was well maintained, clean, and well equipped. Location was very convenient, a short walk from Seahouses centre, and very quiet in the evening.
I would like to make a complaint about Sandy Shores. The cleaning of the house was really bad, there was mould in the bathroom, green and black and large amount of dust. The beds and bedding were disgusting. When taking the sheets off as requested, I found blood on the bottom sheets I didn't see until removal as was tucked down the headboard end and stains all over the pillows and mattress protector. Also, the bedding smelt very musty and old and need of replacing. The beds and mattress clearly need replacing with them having large dips and worn out. Dust so much dust on the celing fan, stairs and flowers in the sitting room. Also it needed to be mentioned that there are steep steps to the front door, for family with mobility issues this caused a problem. The back garden was fully of weeds and dirty. Mismatch plates and crockery and lots of useless items which really needed to be cleaned out. In general I was in a nice location but the state of the place let it down and wasn't worth the money.
Christopher
Brilliant location a short walk to the sea or shops, but just out of the way enough to make it quiet and peaceful. Comfortable warm modern property with everything you need. The welcome pack was a nice surprise.
Really nice property, clean and well maintained. The welcome pack was a nice touch, its ideally situated for Seahouses, Beadnell, Bamburgh and Holy Island. You wont be disappointed by the property unless youre really fussy. I would definitely book this property again.
Lovely well appointed property. Spent most of our time in the conservatory, lovely room. Largest room in the house complete with Tv. can't be bad. Would definitely stay there again. Walkable distance from the High St and harbour either along the main road or coastal part to the Harbour.

Had a very nice 3night stay at this property. Great location 10 mins walk from centre of Seahouses and also a great base to explore Northumberland. House was clean when we arrived. It had dualzone Hive heating lounge and conservatory underfloor heating which worked really well and a decent mesh Wifi network. Conservatory was the best room in the house especially with underfloor heating. Was more comfortable in there than the lounge. Kitchen diner well equipped with dishwasher etc. Owners provided nice welcome drinks etc and the house had everything you need including dishwasher tablets etc. Beds we used were very comfortable. Back garden nice but didn't use due to the rain. I think the owners have taken on some of the feedback as the house felt recently renovated with new bedding and carpets. Absolutely no issues with the front door for example as previously mentioned. Bathroom very clean with a nice bath and shower. Washerdryer in utility room. Would not hesitate to stay here the next time we come back to Northumberland.

We did not hesitate in booking Sandy Shores again as this is our second visit, our last visit was pre covid. We found the house offered great value for the money more so for a family there's plenty of room, due to its location and ease of walking either to the town centre or long walks along some of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. If you've forgotten something don't worry because the owners have it covered. The house is light, clean, warm and spacious with a large kitchen dinner with all you need, there's also a large conservatory where you can lie back and relax and in the summer a large back garden to catch the sunshine also plenty free parking at the front of the house. Overall we had a fantastic week at Sandy shores we would highly recommend it as the place to spend a relaxing holiday. 5
Lovely house this was our third visit. Very comfortable and clean. It has everything we needed. We appreciated the welcome gifts thank you. Don't let previous bad reviews from others put you off. We had a great week and will return.
The house is well situated, just a few minutes away from the coastal path and shops, but in a quiet position. Well equipped and spacious with a large conservatory allowing more room. Have been to this property a few times and always enjoyed it. Can recommend.
This was our fifth holiday in Sandy Shores. The house is always clean and comfortable with excellent facilities and very wellequipped. Sandy Shores is wellplaced for access to Seahouses and excursions in the locality and further afield. We&rsquove already booked for next year.
A very well kept and presented house, spacious and comfortable. Also very well equipped, especially the kitchen, one of the best experiences we&39ve had on a self catering holiday.
The property was excellent, clean and well equipped. The location was great and with easy access to the area. It was wonderfully quiet, the house just right for an active family! The heated conservatory was lovely too! A lovely place.
A well appointed house in a great location for Seahouses and all it&39s great pubs and restaurants. Beautifully decorated and furnished with a fabulous conservatory to enjoy rain or shine. Quiet position in a small development with views of the sea from the front. Really enjoyed our stay!
Conveniently located modern property in Seahouses with good facilities.
Excellent property with everything you need.
Lovely house, spent most time in the conservatory when in the house. Thank you for the milk and biscuits. Would return back and recommend to others.
