Seaton Reviews

Vincent
An absolutely stunning property with sea view. Easy access into Seahouses and even to Bamburgh with a lovely walk along the beach. Great location to spend quality time with the family.
Stephen
Mouse droppings either side of the fridge which the owner tried to make light of by texting me to say we have a cheeky field mouse....pathetic. Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for taking time to leave feedback of your stay, please note the owner is aware and addressing the issue but we hope you had a lovely stay overall!
Susan
This was our 10th year at this property. That says it all, I think.
Barbara
Lovely house in ideal location. Kitchen very well equipped. Garden great for our little dog . No welcome pack as advertised.
Margaret
Plenty of parking but access was very tight. An SUV would have a problem.
Sophy
The location of the house was superb. We took our morning brew outside to sit on a bench and admire the Farne Islands. It was a very comfortable place - very relaxing and spacious to be in with a dog and young people. Seahouses is a great base to explore this part of Northumberland. We had a fantastic holiday.
Patricia
A beautiful house in the most beautiful place, garden was certainly a great bonus for us and the dog, house looking a little tired could do with some updating, especially the bathroom.
Ben
Lovely spacious cottage in a fantastic location, amazing views to the Farne Islands and only a short walk into Seahouses. Large enclosed garden ideal for dogs. Plenty of parking but does require opening / closing gates every time you go out in the car. Definitely recommended for a Seahouses stay
James
Lovely cottage in a perfect location for walks, strolling into Seahouses and great views. Large garden at the back very peaceful.
Kevin
Great place to stay loved it would stay again
Philip
Third stay. Well located close to village and beach. Clean, warm, comfortable.
Steven
A very comfortable, warm and very located cottage. The â??improvementâ?? comments are very minor. We have already recommended to family and hope to rebook next year for ourselves
Susan
Our ninth visit so it must be good! Perfect location and comfortable.
Amanda
Seaton is a wonderful family friendly holiday cottage. The proximity to the beach and Seahouses means everything you need is a short walk away. The cottage is comfortable and welcoming. The mattress in the main bedroom was very comfortable - we slept like babies. The views across to the Farnes from the front bedrooms are beautiful. We also watched some amazing sunsets from the sitting room. The garden is enormous and the dogs just loved it. The garden is also fully enclosed and dog safe. Weâ??ve stayed in cottages which have claimed this but found it not to be true. But the Seaton garden really is as described. Our two whippets made full use of it for zoomies! All in all a really good find and we will certainly consider booking again in the future.
Robert
The location of the house is fantastic as you have a very good view of the sea and islands. We have also seen dolphins on numerous occasions which is a bonus. The very large garden is excellent if you have dogs and or children. We found the house to be clean and reasonably well equipped.
Helen
The view as you arrive and look through the house to the sea is stunning. Views from main bedroom also exceptional. The enclosed area to the rear is excellent and secure for dogs and for parking although access around the neighbouring property is tight but manageable. Patio is lovely in the sun. Kitchen is well equipped in good working order and lots of crockery and cutlery. Great heating, Very clean and comfortable beds. The main bedroom and single rooms on first floor are great however the two upper rooms require careful negotiation of steep narrow stairs, I would not be comfortable with children or less able family members using these rooms. Location of the house is fabulous for beach and for access to the town centre. Lots of nearby walks and eating places.
Sarah
Beautiful location with stunning views out to sea and Bamburgh castle. The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The king size double room is fabulous. There is so much to see and do and we enjoyed delicious food from local restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Lovely big garden and plenty of space for parking. We were pretty lucky with the weather too for early April! The property is a bit tricky to spot from the road when you first arrive though, and please be aware the staircase to the second floor is incredibly steep, with very shallow steps. Overall, we had a great holiday at Seaton
