Great cottage in a great location
Parking space was very small but we managed and it was fine. It is a shame the wooden fence across did not open as a gate as we would have been able to drive out when the car near the cottage had gone. But it was lovely.
This was a brilliant place to stay we had a larger car and parked in town but that didnt detract from the great location and excellent welcome pack! We had a perfect 3 night stay and it was wonderful
Matthew
Lovely cottage, great location

Lovely clean holiday accomodation and as advised the parking was tight to say the least and we twice had to request people to move their cars so we could get into our space and then out of it again. We were surprised the master bedroom ensuite was a shower only ie lacking a sink & toilet. On the whole we enjoyed our stay in Seahouses.. would visit again!
Elisabeth
Lovely stay for family of 5. Everything including parking accurately described. Lacks its own outdoor space but definitely made up for by wonderful location. Easy access to local pub and shops. Thank you for having us. Problem with heating before we left.
Donald
The cottage was excellent but the parking was extremely tight and if the people opposite us in their cottage hadnt polite enough to move their car whilst I parked I wouldnt have been able to park. Seahouses is well worth a visit but parking all over the town is tight, however there is plenty of parking spaces you can pay for. Worth going.
We've just got back from a 3 night stay and can honestly say loved the cottage thought the location was superb and it was immaculate with everything you could need. Obviously the only problem is the parking I could get my small van into the space but was worried about getting blocked in so I just moved it into the main car park in the village which wasn't a problem just a bit extra cash than I expected to say but the parking problem isn't just for this cottage it's Obviously in the whole village. We will definitely be back thank you

The house and location were perfect. However, the holiday was marred by parking issues. The house is listed as having parking described as tight its almost impossible to get into the narrow space between the houses, and we were mostly blocked in and could not get out. On our last day, a neighbour described the animosity towards the owners of No 30, as the parking space was actually a cut through from the next road, seemingly annexed by them for visitors. In the Visitors Book, a guest described their car as being Keyed during their stay and so we were worried the same could happen to ours. Neighbours also used the bins, and simply walked off when challenged. It all made for a very tense atmosphere, and although we loved Seahouses, we would not go back to that cottage. We were informed by the neighbours that an annual parking ticket could be had, relatively cheaply, for the public car park and most people provided them for their visitors. Perhaps this would alleviate the situation.

Lovely house and a nice welcome pack that really personalised the place. Really good quality of fixtures and fittings and the decoration is lovely. Really well done. I would definitely stay again. I know everyone talks about the parking and it really is a pain. I do wonder whether you just need to be more up front about it as its the first experience you have which could be quite negative. In our case the space was clear but as there was a car parked in front of the house the turning circle was too tight. We just parked in the public carpark which wasnt an issue. Outside bin was also full and had not been put out which meant we had to take our rubbish to the bins in town.
I think the parking should come with a warning. We've stayed in cottages with similar issues and they have had schemes where free car parking is available elsewhere, within a 10 minute walk, included with a permit. The council in Seahouses might offer such a thing? Apart from that, no real complaints. There was the issue with the door and then the TV aerial but they were resolved. I have given separate feedback to Sykes to say it would have been better to have been able to speak to someone in the first instance to know that the issue would get resolved that daynight, just to put us at ease. On the whole, really well maintained but one or 2 small issues as I left in the book. Also, I am a stickler when it comes to the build up of dust on bathroom extractor fans please check. We loved our stay, a beautifully placed, spacious house!
Such a beautiful place to stay in the lovely Seahouses! 30 Union Street was warm, cosy and welcoming with gorgeous modern features and also some older personalised touches, which made our stay really enjoyable. Its a very roomy house, with large bedrooms and plenty of space for our family of 6 plus a dog! We didnt use the log fire with our young children but could imagine that would add to the atmosphere further. The parking wasnt an issue for us, we just parked in Seahouses and walked the two minutes to the housejust meant we got our steps up a little more. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend and would love to return! Thank you so much for such a wonderful holiday!
I cannot get over the car parking issue, hence the harsh marking. The decor and cleanliness is amazing but you simply have no parking except for motorbikes and if you are not more honest about this your reviews will hold you back. There is so much I could say here about that subject but you have provided a lovely place to stay so would rather not write volumes about it!

We very much enjoyed our stay! One small issue was that we arrived at 315pm confirmation said we could checkin from 3pm and the cleaners showed up at 320pm! They said they didn't think we would be there till 4? We waited outside for 40 minutes which was a bit disappointing after a 6.5 hour journey. They did a good job of cleaning but the floors were left wet so we were quite behind on our plans for the evening when we finally got in! They were nice and apologetic so it wasn't a major disaster, just a little bit disappointing when we were tired. The fridge also may need a look at as it doesn't appear to be cooling as it should. All up, the cottage is in a lovely spot and very nicely maintained. The car park is very tight but we managed ok and the neighbours were helpful in moving their car for us. The beds are comfortable, the sofa and living area is also very nice and comfortable and the kitchen was spacious. We liked the included doggy treats and board games as well! Would highly recommend a stay here!
Matthew
The house was lovely inside and you can see Becky and Tim's recent investments. Plenty of hot water for showers is great after a day at the beach! The kitchendinerlounge was a great space for us as a family. Rooms are a nice size and it feels very light and airy upstairs. The beds are also very comfortable and offered a great night's sleep. The downside is parking. If you have a family, need access to your car without the constant headache of playing car jenga and worry about whether or not you'll be able to leave we were regularly blocked in by Hexham Cottage which clearly states on street parking on its listing then this may not work for you.
Vivian
Mirror was cracked in the bedroom and the shower in the ensuite was a little temperamental going from hot to cold.
Great house very comfortable. Has everything you need for a holiday. However, the bins outside wasnt emptied before or while we were there and rubbish was piling up, will eventually cause a smell. Parking outside not great, relies on goodwill of other people in the street. The space allocated to the house is small and hampered by people parking in street and scaffolding on next door property.
Nice clean property in a great location. Parking space was almost impossible to use due to its size, other cars parked close and scaffolding although we found good parking available on Union street.
Andrew
Great property and location
