Lavender Cottage (Village Farm) Reviews

This was our second visit to Lavender Cottage. It's a beautiful, spacious cottage with a lovely outside garden and seating area. I was there with my son, daughter in law and granddaughter and the cottage is perfect to facilitate two familes and the 3 parking spaces enabled my sister and family to come and spend the day with us without worrying about parking. I can't fault Lavender cottage. We did have a problem with the emersion heater at the beginning of the holiday but Gillian had it sorted within half an hour and it did not impact on our holiday whatsoever. Only 10 mins walk into the centre of Seahouses where there are plenty of shops and places to eat or take aways. I hope to be back next year as I absolutely love this cottage.

We had a lovely week at Lavender Cottage, despite less than ideal weather, we managed to get out and about exploring this beautiful area of Northumberland. Bamburgh, Lindisfarne be aware of the tides, Alnwick, Alnmouth and Rothbury were highlights. Seahouses had all the shops, restaurants and pubs we needed for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is large, comfortable, and well equipped, with just a few niggles. We had to unblock a bathroom sink, one downstairs double bed was not so comfortable, and the giant boiler made a few alarming bangs and rumbles, but seemed to be working fine. Largely, well equipped, a lovely stay, and would book again. Nice, quiet location, and very attractive property, private and near perfect.

This was a fabulous cottage in a beautiful area. Only a 10 min walk into the centre of Seahouses. Well equipped and had everything we needed. Plenty of parking space and lovely outside areas to sit in on an evening and enjoy the lovely weather we had. There were plenty of games in the cottage to keep young children amused. I was there with my son, his partner and my grandaughter, The set up in the cottage with 2 sitting areas and bedrooms at opposite ends of the cottage worked perfectly for us. It far exceeded our expectations and can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend Lavender Cottage.

Really happy with the cottage. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Very good location. Lovely garden, very private. I was surprised that there was no welcome pack. Also food left in the freezer.

Very well equipped and comfortable. It is in a nice quiet area but still close enough to walk into Seahouses.

Lavender Cottage provides an ideal layout for different generations holidaying together. The cottage and surrounding area are perfect for our four legged friends with an enclosed garden, dog friendly beaches and pubs and eateries to enjoy! All in all a relaxing family getaway.....

A fabulous property which suited us all. It was also a brilliant holiday for our dog, as he loved having the garden to run up and down.

Excellent, clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped property. Only a short walk from town shops, restaurants and harbour. Highly recommended.

Lovely comfortable accommodation. Plenty space if you require quiet time.
