Had a great time in this lovely cottage, our only gripe was that it needed something at the windowspatio doors in the kitchen as we did rather feel we were sitting in a goldfish bowl, especially as the nights draw in so early at this time of year, other than this we would rate it ten out of ten.

Nice property close to the town centre and the local beach by the golf course, which was ideal for dog walks. The property was in excellent condition and the enclosed garden was a safe place for the dog. As per previous reviews the patio doors and kitchen window could do with some blinds as the sun can be blinding in the afternoon. However, that didnt spoil our break as we were out most of the day. We also loved the log burner.

Absolutely amazing holiday home very clean it has everything you want . Beds lovely and comfy will definitely book to stay again .just one little suggestion a blind on the patio door as when the sun is low it dazzled you when sat watching tv .

The cottage was lovely. It was very clean and comfortable and close to the shops and they was a beach just 5 minutes away that we could take the dog. The only thing I could say that could improve our stay was the mattress was a little to soft for us and made my back ache a little but apart from that everything was perfect and we would stay again.

Having been here for 3 seasons this year, Spring, Summer and Autumn the song by The Weekend comes very much to mind..... We had a wonderful week at Maywood, a beautifully presented property that appears to have been recently renovated. The accommodation was modern, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The offroad parking was convenient, and the enclosed garden ideal for our dog a real bonus. We also appreciated the highquality bed linen and thick, soft towels, which added a touch of luxury. One small suggestion would be to provide a couple of firmer pillows, as Id left mine at home this time and found the ones provided a little too soft for my preference. The location is excellent just a short walk from Seahouses and all its amenities. We enjoyed exploring the area on foot, including Beadnell and Bamburgh Castle and village. For trips further afield, we used the car to visit Lindisfarne, Craster Dunstanburgh, and Cragside. That said, the local bus service is a great option too, with stops conveniently located along King Street. We made use of it after walking along the beach to Bamburgh. We would definitely recommend Maywood and would be happy to return.

Maywood is a very nice clean property the house has been done up very tastefully. All the amenities you require are there. The house is very near town with lots of different shops to browse around. The beaches are very close & would say probably some of the best we have been on. If you don't fancy cooking there are some brilliant takeaways & Restaurants close by. Also the Co op is only 200 metres away. Plenty of things to do in the area with lots more not too far away. Brilliant place to stay. The only downside side is could do with 2 keys

Fabulous holiday home. Great location for Seahouses town centre and Beach. Very spacious house for 4 and a dog. Great enclosed garden and parking. Garage space great for drying a sandy dog. Just a short walk into Seahouses where there are plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat. Lovely longer beach walk to Bamburgh with a bus trip back. Beadnell fabulous for paddle boarding. A boat trip to see the puffins recommended. May July House clean, well equipped with very comfortable beds. A pint of milk on arrival would have been a nice touch however appreciated the tea bags and biscuits. Take your own dog bowls as not provided. Highly recommend, would stay again.

This property is excellent in every respect. It was very clean and comfortable. Everything was in tip top condition and in great working order. Within easy reach of places to walk the dog too. We would not hesitate to recommend it and will definately be back!

We stayed here for a week in March with our labrador. The open plan living space at the back was great. Location was perfect for beach walks, restaurants, pubs. House had good facilities and was very comfortable. Would happily visit again and to recommend.

Very clean well maintained property in an ideal location for our needs. Fully enclosed back garden perfect for dogs. It will certainly be one we look to book again.

This was an exceptionally clean cottage with lovely fluffy towels and well thought out accommodation. It was so clean we felt we were using everything brand new.There were sufficient pans but there might have been a few more casserole type dishes to cook things like pasta bakes or apple crumble and perhaps a collapsible clothes basket to carry wet washing in. We liked the USB points in the plugs.The five of us had a good break despite some very wet weather.

Loved our stay here. Beds comfy and good sized towels. The house is so bright and airy. Luckily the weather was good when we stayed. Seahouses is such a great base, did lots of walking, visiting Beadnell and Bamburgh. Boat trip to the Farne Islands was amazing watching the birds and the seals. Seahouses has good places to eat, but also great local shops if you want to cook in the well equipped kitchen. Love it Thankyou

An absolute gem of a property, great location everything was perfect. Clean linen fluffy towels comfy beds, spacious living and dog friendly. Had a lovely week here and would recommend it to anyone thinking of booking, you wont be disappointed.

Maywood is a super holiday cottage in a convenient location. The cleanliness and facilities were excellent. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was very well thought out and tastefully decorated. The dog loved the enclosed garden and the garage and hosepipe are ideal for washing sand off paws! It is only a 510min walk to Seahouses and the harbour and 1015 min walk to the beach via the golf course in the other direction. We had a wonderful relaxing stay exploring Northumberland in the day and heading back to watch the olympics in comfort on an evening. Thank you so much

What a beautiful newly refurbished house. So spacious, clean & comfortable. The bed was so comfy, we slept well. The enclosed garden was a bonus for our small dog. The location was great, 5 minutes walk into town and so close to the beach. It was lovely to walk out of the front door and be able to see across the bay. We had such a fab holiday. This was an excellent cottage, ideally situated close to the sea and very well furnished. The offroad parking was a bonus, and all the necessary utensils, cleaning materials and extras were available. It was one of the very best examples of holiday accommodation we have used over the past 30 years. I imagine we will return in the future, if it is available, and the prices do not increase too much!

Excellent property with everything that we needed for our stay in Seahouses. The house is finished to a high standard and was perfect for us. Its also in a great position with easy access to the beach, golf club, bars and restaurants. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future.

Photos dont show nice Maywood is, it really has good quality beds and furniture, kitchen utensils etc everything was brilliant. Everything had been thought of with torches in each room anti slip under rugs on wood floors, fire ready to light with dishwasher tablets and other essentials provided.
