Rock End Reviews

Review by Bob & Helen We really enjoyed our week at Rock End in May. Inside there is everything you need and is only a short walk into Seahouses to catch a boat to the Farne Islands and for meals. Ideal position for exploring coastal areas, such as Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster and Low NewtonbytheSea. The owner Judy is very welcoming and informative. Thank you some lovely memories!
Nice quirky property close to seahouses and lovely beach just a short walk with stunning scenery
Fantastic accommodation with everything you need, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, great location. We will definitely stay again.
We felt that the pictures on the page of the 'seaviews' should have been classed as being much further away from the place and not actually outside it as that was the main reason we chose Rock End. Also the front curtains upstairs and downstairs need attention as in being made to completely cover the windows with NO gaps as we were both kept awake most of the night due to the bright light from the lamp post that was basically just to the left of the window. The hotel next door also had very bright illumination too at night which was very annoying and unexpected. The parking area posts for Rock End need some sort of paint on them to become more visible as my partner nearly backed into one he didn't see was there.

A great holiday home exactly as described lovely host who did not interfere which is how we like it. Just all round 1010 break

Having stayed here for the second year in a row still can't fault it. Ideally placed the property has everything required, clean, warm and welcoming and now Seahouses has had an IT upgrade wifi which works well. The owner Judy is delightful and we would recommend Rock End to anyone wishing to explore this area.
Immaculately clean, comfortable and well equiped. Location is spot on with lovely sea views. 10 min walk to centre of Seahouses with great places to eat. Also hotel next door where we ate a couple of nights. The beach is long and sandy and you can see and walk to Bramber castle along. Owner Judy is such a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Seahouses
Joanne
Lovely cottage. Loved the quirkiness. Finished to a high standard. Nice friendly owner. Would definitely visit again.
Beverley
Perfectly situated for beach and town. Good base for seeing the area
Lovely property . High quality appliances and bed linen and towels of good quality also. Was beautifully clean upon our arrival and we were greeted by owner who was a really pleasant lady and offered us a history of the accomadation all designed by herself . Not a critiscism but because of all the glass it did get uncomfortably hot on sunny days i think the addition of either freestanding or ceiling fans would help ease this .? Overall would recommend and seahouses is a great base for exploring northumberland
Denise

We had a wonderful time. The property is lovely and met all our needs. We certainly hope to come back.
Lovely cosy place in a great location. Comfortable and clean with a friendly host nearby who kindly took in a bouquet delivery for us while we were our! The view is across the lawns with the sea to the left literally a a few metres along a private road and across the quiet main road to a beautiful beach walk. A great place to get away from it all!
We had a wonderful time at Rock End. The property is ideally situated in Seahouses and has everything you need to make your stay relaxing. It is just far enough out of the main centre of the village and just far enough from the main road, but the whole coastline is easily accessible and we walked for miles during our stay.

We stayed at Rock End in Seahouses for 3 nights and had a wonderfully restorative rest. The cottage was superbly clean and warm with all the facilities necessary for an excellent stay. Judy the owner was very welcoming and the cottage was ideally situated for all local amenities. We ate in the Bamburgh Castle Inn which was dog friendly and served excellent food. We walked along the beach to Bamburgh which was lovely and overall had a great time.
Excellent cottage ideally situated for walks on the beach. Friendly and helpful owner. Would definitely book Rock End again.
Excellent spot just out of Seahouses and across the road from the beach. Seahouses has everything you would need and some decent pubs ...dog friendly most of them. Rock End was well equipped, great shower, big bed and comfy sofa. Judy, the owner is very helpful and friendly. A great stay...we just needed longer to try and experience a lot more of the area.
