This 2-bedroom cottage is a beautifully converted 1830s steading sitting just 1 mile from Seahouses on the Northumberland coast's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Original features from the 1830s are everywhere: vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and traditional arched windows give this place a real sense of age and character. It's all on one level making it genuinely accessible.
Seahouses harbour is a short walk away. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a zip-and-link super-king bed (available as twin on request) with an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a king-size bed with access to the main bathroom featuring a bath, wet room shower and glossy black and white fittings.
Bamburgh Castle (6 miles) and Alnwick Castle (15 miles south), famously used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, are both within easy reach. Seahouses harbour, Holy Island and the Farne Islands are all close by.
Single-level layout suits all ages and abilities. The wood burner makes this ideal for autumn and winter breaks. This getaway is a well-equipped, well-located base for exploring one of England's finest coastlines.
