As soon as we entered this property we realised that we'd struck Gold . The Quirkiness of it was obvious straight away. This property is so comfortable from the two sitting rooms to the bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and there's everything you could want need in the kitchen. It was like a home from home but with a difference. The main thing was the comfort of it all and I'm pretty sure that we'll be back .
Spacious, comfortable, clean, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Lovely garden with plenty of sitting areas. Bonus of a roof terrace with comfortable chairs. Amazing selection of books of all types. Parking and parking permits for car parks. Everything you need for a perfect holiday.
We 4 adults late 60's and early 70's had a superb week at The Bakehouse, Seahouses and Northumberland. The Bakehouse was a homely, comfortable, spacious, clean base and a refreshing change from some of the plaindull holiday homes we have stayed in. It has such a welcoming and happy atmosphere all around the house. Thank you Julie. The Bakehouse proved to be in the perfect location for us in Seahouses. It was easy to visit, see and explore the many coastal villagestowns from Berwick to Seaton Sluice, Alnwick, Cragside, Hadrian's Wall plus more. Seahouses was also a fairly convenient drive to and from Newcastle Airport. The Bakehouse was easy to find and has a parking space at the side. The people we met in Seahouses were friendly and helpful and the Inns were welcoming. The large Coop and fuel station were very convenient. We can recommend Billy Shiels boat trip there are others to choose from from the harbour to the Farne Islands. We walked to Bamburgh and caught the bus back to Seahouses. There is so much to do in Northumberland...enjoy.
Quirky house full of character. Comfortable and warm.
Ideal base for a stay in Seahouses. The Bakehouse is ideally located for easy access to the centre of Seahouses. The house itself is large and provides everything you need for a self catering holiday. The layout of the house is slightly quirky but all the more attractive for it. There is a comfortable, livedin feel to the building and it easily accommodates up to six people. The small outside spaces are also attractive. A great base for a break!

The Bakehouse is a large comfortable house and has everything that you need for your stay, including a garden seating area plus private parking in Seahouses is always a bonus. We really enjoyed are stay and would highly recommend
We had a wonderful week at The Bakehose despite the weather being a bit changeable. The property was very clean and comfortable and was very well equipped. We loved the location of the cottage and all Seahouses had to offer. We took a boat trip out to Inner Farne with Serenity on a beautiful sunny day which was fabulous, seeing so many different bird species nesting. A photographs Paradise! Julie is great host and the cottage is full of photos, paintings and interesting things to look at. We thoroughly recommend it!
Excellent cottages. Great location and very clean

Fabulous quirky house, with all the facilities you could want. Three large bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. Very comfy lounges we only used one , with the fire in it, but lots of comfy seating. Kitchen equipped with all manner of implements and quality plates, glasses etc. Jackie , the owner so helpful and welcoming. The only comments I would make is that there is no downstairs loo , so if you have elderly or infirm relatives its should be mentioned in the blurb. Two fairly steep staircases to access the bedrooms but with sturdy handrails.
