Lovely holiday cottage , we really enjoyed our stay. Lots of walks without using the car from the cottage and nice friendly neighbours. Seahouses has plenty to do and I would highly recommend Billy Shiels boat trips seeing the puffins was magical. Bolthole was accurately described , I would happily stay again. I would also like to thank the owners for the lovely welcome gift , it was much appreciated.
Bolthole was a lovely, clean bungalow. It was very well equipped with a fantastic welcome pack, delicious cake, wine, milk, teabags and bread. Greatly appreciated. There was everything you needed for a very comfortable holiday. Thank you.

The cottage was beautiful, clean, and cosy. It was perfectly placed very close to the centre of Seahouses so shops, pubs, harbour and sea front were in easy walking distance, only 5 10 minutes away. We had a wonderful stay.

There was only myself and husband plus dog in this property which was very well equipped especially the kitchen which was quite compact. There were three bedrooms and one small bathroom with a shower over the bath. Central heating was fine.Everywhere was very clean. Very small garden at the back which was pebbled, so felt quite enclosed.
My grandparents and I recently stayed at The Bolthole for a week while on holiday in Northumberland, and it proved to be a perfect base for our trip. Our overall experience of the cottage was very positive. Although the cottage sleeps six, it was very comfortable for the three of us. Once we figured out how the electric heating worked the temperature buttons are a little faded, which caused some initial confusion, we had no further issues at all. All the rooms are pleasantly decorated in a seaside style, and the sun loungeconservatory was a lovely bonus especially as the weather during our stay was excellent. Everything we needed bedding, towels, and so on was provided, along with a short letter containing basic instructions. The cottage was very clean, and there were several thoughtful touches that made a big difference to our stay, such as a sweet treat left for us in the fridge. The kitchen, though on the smaller side, was just the right size for comfortable selfcatering, with all the utensils and equipment we needed. It was clean, tidy, and very functional. The bathroom was also spotless. The WiFi password was provided on the kitchen counter, and the connection was stable throughout our stay. The parking space directly outside the cottage was also extremely convenient. There were plenty of TVs although no DVD player, with one in the lounge and one in each of the double bedrooms we used. We only used the lounge TV, and while the colours seemed a little oversaturated even after adjusting the settings, this was only a very minor issue that had no ultimate impact on our enjoyment. The lounge itself had very comfortable sofas and, like the rest of the cottage, was attractively decorated. As for the location, the cottage is very well situated Seahouses town and harbour are about a tenminute walk away, with the beach only a little further. The town has many charming souvenir and gift shops, a very handy CoOp, and what turned out to be an excellent butcher! During part of our stay, the nextdoor neighbours were having some renovations done, which caused occasional drilling. However, they were very considerate, and I imagine that under normal circumstances the noise levels would be negligible. Even with the work going on, they were never extreme or unbearable. The host communicated promptly and was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had in the lead up to our visit. In conclusion, the cottage matched the description and photos very closely, and I would highly recommend The Bolthole to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable seaside retreat.
Great location within walking distance of the centre. Good size and clean accomodation
We had a wonderful week at the Bolthole. It is a beautiful well furnished bungalow and there is everything you could need. It was a little difficult for us to use the shower but that's our decision to come to the bolthole knowing this.. The back garden is a little disappointing with the outlook but it didn't spoil our holiday. We would definitely return. We met Nicola's son at the craster arms. What a nice chap. The heating is very efficient. Overall 10 out of 10. Thank you Nicola.

A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a holiday. Its location was superb, only a 10 minute walk into Seahouses and a 10 minute drive into Bamburgh or Beadnell. I will 100 return to The Bolthole when I visit Northumberland again!

The Bolthole is in a perfect location on a quiet street just 5 minutes from the village centre. The house had everything we needed and was nice and clean on arrival, with a lovely welcome pack waiting for us.
Beautiful property in a lovely friendly area. This was our second visit and chose The Bolt Hole again because it has parking, spacious, enclosed garden for our little dog. A lovely welcome pack of wine, delicious cake, chocolate, crisps, bread & milk was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here next time we visit Seahouses.

We have had a great week at The Bolthole. The bungalow is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The rear garden area was indeed a sun trap and we were able to sit outside every afternoon sheltered from the strong north and east winds. The conservatory was also a lovely place to sit, excellent for the evening sundowner! The beds were very comfortable too. A great place to stay and we hope to return soon.

The Bolthole is ideal for anyone seeking a very peaceful and very comfortable base for a holiday in the beautiful county of Northumberland, based as it is just a short distance from Seahouses High Street but with very easy access to all the facilities that Seahouses offers and well away from the busyness that lots of tourists coming for boat trips creates. After days out visiting all the lovely sights and beaches, it was always a pleasure to come back to The Bolthole.
Lovely accommodation in a great location, very generous welcome gifts including a lovely fresh cream cake. Really nice and tidy, well equipped kitchen and comfy sofas. We were at full occupancy with 4 adults, 2 kids and one dog so it was perhaps a bit small for our needs to be really comfortable. A relaxing holiday nonetheless.

Great quiet location. Accessible and well equipped. Dog friendly with enclosed small garden.
Really nice cottage, I initially thought it might be a bit far from the town centre but the location was excellent and was actually great to be a little away from the bustle of town and the narrow streets, ease of parking a bonus. Around a 10min walk to the harbour, would recommend the butchers along the road. Being pet friendly allowed us to bring our dog and tour seahouses which is fab. Loved the conservatory and it was great to have a welcome pack on arrival. The cottage is well equipped and has nice rooms. Only suggestions would be some more games and possibly a Bluetooth speaker or radio but overall loved our stay at 'the bolthole'.

Weve just returned from a lovely week at The Bolthole. Situated within a short walk to the town centre, this property offered everything we needed for our holiday. The Bolthole was exceptionally clean and well presented it was a home from home. This property showed that accommodation which allows one dog can still be very clean something which is very important. The welcoming treats were a lovely touch, too. We would highly recommend The Bolthole. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

As a Family we loved this Cottage. So clean well stocked with all we needed for our week's stay. Loved the location and the fact our dog Leo had a safe back yard was so much appreciated. Lots of walks and the beach was fantastic at Bamburgh. A bit pricey to eat out but was worth every penny. Would recommend this Property to anyone. Thanks again, Kathleen.

Lovely clean well equipped property in ideal quiet location we really enjoyed our week
Michael
The Bothole was extremely well presented, furnished and equipped. It was very comfortable, and ideal for our party of six from five to seventy five. The welcome pack was generous and the owner immensely helpful when we were in touch with her. Parking was easy too. Of the six or so holiday lets we have had in Seahouses, this was rivalled by one other only whose sole advantage was its being closer to the sea! We would happily return.
Maureen
