Relaxing week. Clean and comfortable. Could not have wished for anything more.
Had a lovely holiday at the nook,Jacky and Alan were very helpful, great stay, will definitely be going again .

A lovely little cottage with everything that I needed. Lovely garden where I was able to sit out and have a coffee and read my book. Just made for an ideal break. Thank you.
The Cottage was lovely small but had all you needed for a week away the only ... The Cottage was lovely small but had all you needed for a week away the only thing was a mirror in the bedroom we took down as we were frightened we would nock it off the wall and break it the weather was good so a addition bonus
What a lovely little gem! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation size was perfect for our requirements the use of space was maximised and everything we could have needed for our stay was supplied. It was about a 1 mile walk into Seahouses and there was lots to see and do in the surrounding area eg. Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick, Holy Island, Berwick, and even Eyemouth in Scotland which is only about 30 miles away. Thank you!
Christine
Lovely accommodation in a nice quiet area but not far from amenities. It was nice to have a garden for our small dog with table and chairs for us to enjoy outside. Only thing I would probably do is take a couple of my own bath towels as 2 bath towels for a weeks holiday was not enough . It was a lovely comfortable place to stay
The Nook is beautiful. Situated on a quiet estate one mile walk from Seahouses and on all main bus routes. Lots of great walks on the doorstep too. The Nook was spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was friendly and helpful and it was good to know she was around in case we needed anything. Cant recommend enough and we will most definitely return.

Ideally situated less than a mile from the centre of Seahouses. Bright, warm and cosy. Small garden to sit in which gets the sun into the evening. Friendly owners, just the ticket. Would definitely recommend.
Great little place The Nook . Nicely nestled in a private spot , nice owners that left us to ourselves and wasn't intrusive. The Nook has everything you could want and is a great place for a couple. Not too far from Seahouses centre . Seahouses itself was lovely , lots to do and see. Real nice retreat . A guest book might be a good idea .
Yvonne
Lovely quiet location about 15 minutes walk to Seahouses which has some lovely restaurants and scenery is fabulous. Property itself well designed, very clean, with all facilities we needed although Id say that while we like a king sized bed it is a little too large for the bedroom. The small garden area was ideal to take advantage of the sunny weather. Had an issue with lock on bathroom door but promptly resolved by owners. Our favourite restaurant was the Black Swan where we had couple of lovely meals.

We had a lovely stay at The Nook, it is situated in a nice quiet area, the accommodation was very comfortable and there was everything we needed. The small garden was perfect for relaxing in the evening with our dog.
Absolutely lovely property! ! Excellently designed to make good use of space, and provided us with everything we needed for a perfect break. Daisy dog enjoyed the doggie treats and exploring the garden, we enjoyed the biscuits and teacoffee, thank you. An excellent base to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline by carand we also enjoyed the walk into Seahouses and down the lane to the beach. We will certainly stay with you again!
The Nook was everything we expected . It had everything we needed and was handy for Seahouses and the beach for walking our little Jack Russell dog . Obviously a lot of thought and creativity has gone into setting up the Nook to maximise the available space . The small secure garden was also good as we had excellent weather and used the garden and it's chairs every day . We are both on our late 70's and agreed it was one of the nicest places we have stayed in many years of holidays in the UK. Thank you Jacky for the use of The Nook and all being well would love to stay there again. Chris and Eileen Mitchell.
Had a lovely weekend away at The Nook, lovely weather was a bonus for exploring the area.
No issues and a great holiday. Lots of storage. Very tastefully furnished.
Nice well kept property. Friendly owners. Being nit picking alittle on the small size but not a major detriment. Seahouses is a nice area with magnificent beaches.

Compact cosy comfortable. Quiet location easy access to villagebeach shopscafes. Bonus to have proper off road parking, and a small secure garden for the dog. Good location for accessing boat tripsBamburgh CastleFarne Islands.
Everything you need for a relaxed stay within a mile of seahouses, only 1 negative could do with a better aerial for tv. Pot luck if tv would pick a signal up once it had been put on standby, hosts very nice and friendly, nice touch with the treats for dog and bottle of vino chilled in fridge
The Nook is a lovely little bungalow, well equipped and with a small garden for sitting out or airing the dog! Owners on hand to deal quickly with any queries. Would definitely consider staying there again. Pam.
This is a lovely little haven from which to explore Northumbria. It has obviously been designed with great care. Loved the doggy welcome pack! Also a great idea to have a small enclosed area outside for a dog to play. Shower is great, bed very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you might need. Bottle of wine a lovely touch. However we spent 90 minutes trying to get the TV to work and then had to ring the owner who was in Majorca. They found a very kind neighbour who came round and after about 40 more minutes did manage to get the TV to work. The next day we also had problems but remembering what he had done we were able to get it on. It would be good to have correct very simple instructions plus the phone number of someone local who could help. Fire was also difficult to start and we couldnt see how to do it. Fortunately the weather was glorious!

Had a lovely stay at the Nook, it is a converted double garage on a house drive. No problems with access or noise, very small garden but sunny and provided with table, chairs and deckchairs. Bedding and towels spotless, bed very comfy, bathroom with walk in shower great. An update on everyday cutlery and TV would be appreciated by guests.
Hello, With reference to our holiday. We arrived on Friday afternoon. There was no reception but instructions had been left in the cottage. After reading them we noticed that the TV and fan heater did not work and there was no contact number for assistance. The Nook is actually a converted garage composed of a kitchen diner, bathroom and bedroom. The double bed in place was too big for the room, with very little space for passage around the sides against the walls. The local hotel which is advertised as open to nonresidents for restaurant and bar is now only a B&B with no facilities for nonresidents. After investigating further options we decided to leave and did so on Tuesday morning, to avoid the Bank Holiday traffic. The whole holiday has been a disaster, the accommodation and feeding facilities are of no use to an elderly couple such as ourselves and I will definitely not be using Sykes Holidays again.
Caroline
This is our second stay at the Nook and it was perfect for our needs. Great location for getting out and about and a 15 minute walk into Seahouses. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. We will be back again.

The Nook is extremely comfortable. Super shower, comfortable bed, excellent kitchen facilities and a little sheltered garden with some deck chairs for those days when you need a rest. There was a welcome pack of basics and some wine. I needed peace and wuiettto get some work done but it is well positioned for exploring the coast and sights Bamborough and Holy Island. Cannot recommend highly enough
Daniel
A lovely property, a great idea converting the garage to a holiday let. We arrived late, but hosts were there to greet us and answer any questions. The bottle of wine was greatly appreciated, as were the other little extras. The bed was so comfy and we slept well. The cottage is very well equipped and although we didnt use it, we really liked the small garden, perfect to sit out in the evening.
Richard
A lovely little property, well situated on the edge of North Sunderland making a good base to cover the local area.
Terence
Lovely property small but ideal for 2 and small dog
Excellent cottage in a brilliant location. Very clean and comfortable with all necessary for an enjoyable stay. Doggie welcome pack and goods in fridge much appreciated. Would thoroughly recommend the Nook.
Excellent accommodation brilliantly equipped. Everything you could possibly need. A lovely touch on arrival were the bikkies and bottle of wine. Small yet great use of all the space. Room for everything. Absolutely perfect for a couple. Just outside Seahouses about a 20minute walk to the centre if the wind is not blowing a hooley! Thoroughly recommend.
First visit to Northumberland, and The Nook was just perfect for me. I did lots of exploring, walking, visiting sites etc. To know I had the Nook to come back to, to cook up a simple meal, relax in the very pretty garden, and eventually fall asleep in a comfy bed. Loved every minute
A little bit surprised to find that it was a converted double garage in the owners drive and very close to their house. Having said that it was tastefully converted, very clean with everything you needed. Plus a nice little garden which was a real sun trap. Note. The underside of the tv gets very hot when the wall heater is on full.
Clean & tidy property suited our needs
Anthony
Comfortable cottage . Lack of detail ref recycling rubbish and departure info ie what to do with bed linen. And a visitors comments book
I absolutely loved my stay here and I will definitely be coming back.
