The village centre with cafes and seafood restaurants is just 500 metres from the door. A coastal path leads three miles to Bamburgh and its clifftop castle.

Six bedrooms sleep 12 across three floors. The first floor has two king rooms (one with an en-suite shower room) plus a twin and a bunk room. The second floor has a king room and a children's single. Three bathrooms serve the whole group.
Bamburgh Castle (3 miles) and the Farne Islands boat trips (900m to harbour) are the standout local attractions. Alnwick Castle is around 16 miles north. Holy Island is roughly 20 miles away. Note: this property does not have a hot tub.
Mayflower Cottage is ideal for large families or friend groups wanting a proper base on the Northumberland coast. Enclosed garden, wood burner and open-plan kitchen diner make it genuinely comfortable for 12 people.
