Ty y Mor Reviews

Barbara
We found everything about the property excellent. It was warm, beds comfortable, WiFi very effective, kitchen well appointed and would hope to go again. So lovely having sea immediately outside and village within walking distance. Would recommend The Ship Inn for food .
Stewart
Fantastic location with great views over the Farne Islands from the window seats in the main bedroom. Spent many a happy hour there with binoculars after a bracing walk along the coast. Whilst I appreciate that the house is subject to coastal weather conditions the views are its star feature yet the window in the living room was quite dirty. We gave it a quick clean ourselves. The property was comfortable and warm we were there during a wintery cold spell No issues with parking although I would mention that the white gates to the drive seem to have been removed. Intend to book again for next year.
This was a lovely house, really homely and comfortable with all of the facilities we wanted. It was in a great location really close to the beach with lovely views. The only point I would change was about the parking we really needed to have better instructions beforehand about where to park i.e. at the front of the house rather than the back it was a bit late for this information to be inside the house as we'd already parked by then with advice from the neighbours!
Stuart
An exquisite period property, a lovely change from the usual, mostly ultra modern accommodation. Spotlessly clean with everything you need and the location could not be better. Note we had incorrect information from Sykes reference parking. It is definitely either in front of the property or actually in the garage not in front of it.
Beautiful house with incredible views. Very clean and comfortable. The house is full of genuine antiques and original watercolours. Very relaxing and welcoming. Space to sit in the sun at the back of the house. Lovely, well kept front garden with a bench. The main bedroom is large with a big bay window giving fabulous views of sea, islands and Bamburgh Castle. Unrivalled. The second bedroom is very small. It has a double bed but no room for a bedside table or bedside lamp. The storage for the second bedroom is in the hall. This is the only downside of a wonderful house. We would book again.
A delightful, wellequipped house with amazing views across to the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle. An easy 10 minute stroll into Seahouses and easy access to fabulous beach walks. Would recommend Ty y Mor to anyone, without hesitation. Gateway would be easier to find if the described white painted number was on the gatepost. Think it had worn off. Also maybe it could be made clear that parking is in front of lounge window. These are small recommendations and wouldnt stop us rebooking at a later date.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ty Y Mor. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and had a real home from home feel. The views were breathtaking and the beach accessible in minutes. It was also an easy walk from all the facilities in the town. We will definitely be returning in the future.
At the end of our weeks stay I came across a sharp piece of metal in the gravel drive where we were allocated to park . This prompted me to do a search of the rest of the drive and found nine nails and four pieces of sharp metal which made me worry as to how many nails had become imbedded in my car tyres.
What a lovely place to stay. Very clean. Lots of utensils especially in kitchen. Lots if information and great booking experience. The view was fantastic and a great central location for so many trips out and walks. The beds were just so comfortable We had a very relaxing wonderful stay.
A lovely property. The twin room at the front was the real double bedroom, whereas the double was more a single. However, we just pushed the twin beds together. Wonderful locationwe watched seals and dolphins from the front room! Easy stroll into Seahouses and Bamburgh slightly further! Great base for visiting Lindesfarne, Amble, Alnwickeven Edinburgh. We had a lovely time.
We really loved our stay. ...so comfortable and cozy....perfect spot and beautiful views ...DEFINITELY stay again
We have just had another fantastic week in this beautiful house our third time. It is cosy and warm and there is everything you could possibly want and more, the views are fantastic sat in the lounge with sea views. Thank you
Had fab stay in this lovely house. Very clean cosy everything you need for comfortable stay. All the amenities of home plus fabulous view. Heating very good iff needed for out of season stays. Will definitely return. Xx
Brilliant holiday home fantastic view. Close to all you need
Eleanor
Over all the property is nice. It suited the three of us two adults and one child well and the location excellent and views from upstairs are lovely . It would be small for 4 adults as the back bedroom is small for a double. It is well suited to a couple or 3 people in our opinion. The property was clean enough but could have been cleaner there was a large hair plug in the sink in the bathroom and hair on the floor. The kitchen table needs maintenance as it is wobbly on a lean. The description of the back yard seating area is not very accurate you are sat on the drive and by the bins which you would not choose to use. It would be better to make more of the front area but we were not sure if that was shared better explanation of this would be good. Overall a lovely location easy beach access and great for local area, good for parties of 23 people. Good stock of kitchen items etc.
Only criticism is the lack of parking information regarding not using the drive for unpacking the car on arrival as it caused embarrassment with the neighbours when then wanted to pass. Understood shared drive once we arrived but need clearer instructions prior to this.
Philip
Great location. .good view..easy walk to Seahouses centre and boats etc... Space for 4 people easy...u usual parking at the back but once you know ...its fine. Would stay again
Our fourth stay at the property, never failed to impress.
Patricia
An absolute gem of a place to stay, just a pity there was no enclosed area to let the dog out but certainly wouldnt put us off staying here again.
Lovely home in a perfect location! Facilities provided everything and more. A replacement frying pan would be welcomed. We had a problem with the shower being too hot, this was quickly rectified with a new part being fitted. Great service! Super comfortable beds second bedroom perhaps a little too snug. To look out of the window to an uninterrupted view of the Farne Islands was a privilege.
Malcolm
Very spacious accommodation, in an ideal location. Nice to have plenty of seating, with views out to sea. Would have appreciated fuller instructions about central heating. Nothing at all about the TV. Shower controls are very stiff and are in need of some maintenance. No hand towel in downstairs toilet or kitchen.
The whole stay was lovely , house lovely and kept very clean. I think slightly misleading sleeps 4, the second bedroom is very small. The wardrobe on the landing because the room too small.
Graham
Excellent property, superb views and well furnished. Short walk to beach and pub shops etc. Easy parking. Had a great 2 week stay.
This was by far the best place we have stayed in for location and comfort ! We have been to seahouses a few times and this is out mr new favourite! It was perfect cant fault it at all ! Would love to go back again
A lovely house in an ideal location in Seahouses with fantastic views, from Bamburgh castle down to Seahouses harbour, looking directly over the beach with The Farne Islands in view. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house.
Property was extremely clean and comfortable. Great location and fabulous views. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
Sandra
Lovely accommodation, excellent location.
Jacqueline
This is a lovely warm and comfortable property in a fantastic location with gorgeous views. The shared drive does cause some issues with privacy, however this would not stop me from returning.
Loved this property had everything we needed for a relaxing stay . .only drawback was the shared access and no secure outside space for the dog but in winter wouldn't bother us ..Will definitely stay again views are amazing
We had a fantastic week in this beautiful house. The view over the sea was amazing, the house had everything you could possibly want and was warm and cozy did not want to go home will definitely come back. Anne & Stuart

Really pleased with the property very clean & comfortable. It had everything we needed. It is very conveniently located as you can walk into Seahouses or just across the road to the sea. The view upstairs from the bedroom window was wonderful.
Comfortable and spacious property with excellent views, conveniently situated within walking distance of the harbour and shops.
