For Families
Children can explore sandy beaches at Seahouses and Beadnell within walking distance. The Farne Islands boat trips offer chances to see puffins and seals up close. Bamburgh Castle provides interactive displays and beach access. The cottage garden offers safe outdoor space. Rock pooling and beach games are popular activities. However, the single bedroom and lack of specific child facilities mean this suits older children better than toddlers.
For Couples
Couples enjoy the peaceful North Sunderland location away from busy tourist areas. The king-size bedroom with skylights creates a bright romantic space. Walk hand-in-hand to Seahouses harbour for fish and chips. The sitting room LED fire sets a cosy atmosphere for evenings in. Explore dramatic Bamburgh Castle together or take coastal path walks. The well-equipped kitchen allows for intimate dinners. The property's quality finish and quiet setting make it ideal for romantic breaks.
Pet Friendly
Brindles Cottage does not accept pets. The property operates a strict no pets policy for all bookings. This makes it unsuitable for guests wanting to bring dogs or other animals. The coastal location would be perfect for dog walking, but alternative pet-friendly accommodation nearby would be needed. The policy ensures the property remains suitable for guests with allergies.

As ever Brindles Cottage delivers, a beautiful, comfortable, quiet place to stay, handy for the attractions of Northumberland, close enough to walk into Seahouses. Had a fantastic week, we will be back soon.
Andrew
The property is beautiful and in a very quiet setting, really close to Seahouses and Alnwick, i would recommend the property its really clean, comfortable and well equiped.
Very quiet location only a 15 minute walk from the very popular centre of Seahouses. The house is beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable with generous supplies of all the basics. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
Sheena
A modern well equipped house in a little cul de sac 15 minute walk to centre of Seahouses . Loved being able to visit many places on this beautiful coastline Craster, Berwick Spittal, Bamburgh and Beadnell . Only blip was a broken microwave which was duly replaced within a day . Thanks for a comfortable relaxing stay, we will definitely return.
We have enjoyed a lovely week at Brindles Cottage. The house was spotless and very well equipped. Set in a very quiet position, about a fifteen minute walk into the centre, bus stops just around the corner. A picture of the third bedroom would be worth adding to the website as its a lovely room. Where and when to put the bin would have been useful too. We love Seahouses and would definitely come back to Brindles Cottage.
Barbara
The cottage was amazing. Well equipped with everything you could need. Clean and well looked after. It is in a great location in a quiet culdesac about 15 minutes walk from Seahouses, and an easy walk along the beach to Bamburgh. Also a great location to go up the coast to Berwick or south to the villages and beaches further down the coast.
A lovely cottage in a quiet location. The cottage was clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The only thing missing was instructions of when and where to put out the bins, together with details of where to recycle glass as it is not collected. The location is great for exploring the Northumberland coast. We would go again.
Alison
Super, well equipped cottage in an excellent and peaceful location. We walked into Seahouses regularly and it took us a leisurely 1520 minutes. The cottage more than met our needs and Id have no hesitation in recommending.
Robert
The accommodation was first class. It had everything to make our holiday so comfortable & relaxing. Spacious rooms, all with excellent quality fittings. A lovely garden too. Many thanks for the wine! A short walk to Seahouses where there are plenty of cafes & pubs. Lovely harbour which takes you onto the coastal path to Beadnall. In the other direction it goes to Bamburgh Castle. You can visit Grace Darlings grave in the churchyard & the museum. Many other great place to visit on your doorstep.
Leslie
We have stayed at several holiday cottages but this one must be in our top choices. The cottage is in a lovely, quiet and friendly area and within a short distance to all the facilities in Seahouses. The cottage layout, facilities and cleanliness are excellent. To visit the interesting and beautiful places in this part of the country you have an excellent base coupled with garden facilities for a restful day if you wish.
Teresa
Fantastic base for exploring the local area. The house was nicer than I was expecting. There are 2 lovely double bedrooms that are pretty much identical and a single bedroom that isn't pictured in the advert so I was worried how suitable it would be for my son as the sykes description of how many people the house is suitable for is a bit confusing but it was a perfectly lovely room for a single child or adult occupant. The house was very clean, well stocked and homely. Situated slightly outside of Seahouses so about a 15 minute walk into Seahouses centre but we managed it there and back each day, sometimes several times a day. The back garden is also a lovely space with table and 4 garden chairs. Would be happy to go back and stay there again if we were ever in the area again.
Christine
When we arrived at property found everything amazing, so clean, organized in lots of ways, very comfortable in lots of ways. Lovely to visit lots of places not far from cottage. Would recommend cottage very highly. Northumberland stunning county. Our Thanks go the Owners. Beautiful!
Lovely cottage in a convenient location and very quiet. Would however recommend a larger TV in living room.
One of the best holiday cottages, a real home from home. The Cottage was well equipped, so comfortable and a really attractive house. Its far enough out of Seahouses to be quiet and restful but near enough for restaurants, shopping and walks by the sea. I will be back.
Stephen
This is our 2nd time we have stayed at this accomodation and the property, facilities and location are absolutley first class. Despite spending the majority of our time out and about, the only trivial comment we would make about the faciltiy is that the the TV in the lounge is a little on the small size, however, we reiterate that the standard of facilities and maintenance of this property is excellent.
Excellent in all respects. ....this was our second stay at Brindles and we were extremely happy once again.
Very clean property, lovely house from the outside and located in peaceful culdesac, couldnt understand why all rooms were not pictured on the website . Would have liked it nearer to Seahouses to avoid driving to the village to park each day and then Id be able to indulge in an alcoholic drink but that was my poor judgement and lack of nearer properties. All in all a lovely place to stay which was nearby all my favourite places . Small token of a welcome pack or welcome card would have been well received.Ive been visiting Northumberland since I was a child and as an adult this was one of the first times no card or small welcome token wasnt provided . But would definetly recommend it .Night lights were nice touch at night . Great amount of coat hangers too .

This was an exceptional property located a short walk from Seahouses and located in North Sunderland. The property is only five years old and in a small development of properties built at the same time. The owners seem to have thought of everything that you might want with a good shower, heating system, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer , lovely rear garden & seating area for outdoor eating. The property is managed by one of the neighbouring properties and when I mentioned the electric kettle was leaking the owners appeared later that day with a brand new kettle truly positive and responsive. Highly recommended as a comfortable base for a holiday in Northumberland.
Graham
Excellent, unable to fault. a lovely week
William
Very good and comfortable accomodation. Great finishes on everything and all facilities you could need. A real home from home. Definitely recommend this accomodation and Sykes, our 3rd holiday rental with them.
Claire
Lovely house, so clean and comfy. Lovely touch with the wine. Really enjoyed our stay and great location. A hair dryer would be really useful as thought there would be one in the house but apart from that really well equipped!
It was a pleasure to stay in Brindles cottage. Everything about it was perfect. The bed we slept in was really comfortable and there was plenty of room to put your clothes.we hope to stay in it at another time. Kind regards Janet and Tony Kitchen
Lovely comfortable, very well equipped cottage which had been decorated for our Christmas getaway. Thanks also for the Christmas treats, they were much appreciated.
Stephen
The accommodation appeared to be brand new and the rooms & layout were ideal. As keen hikers and beer drinkers the location was ideally positioned to explore Northumberland and there were more than enough pubs and restaurants close by in Seahouses. The property was immaculately clean & tidy and had every possible facility provision necessary for a very enjoyable stay. The property was a real credit to the owners and we will certainly like to return in the near future.

Super place to stay Excellent condition Home from home Perfect position Lovely touch. ...bottle of wine All made for a fantastic holiday !
Joanne
We had a lovely weeks stay at this fabulous house. It has everything you could possibly want. The kitchen is amazing! The bottle of wine left for us to enjoy was a lovely!
We were very impressed by the high standard of cleanliness and the amount of facilities available also of a very high quality. We had a delightful stay and were most comfortable.
Hilary
A stylish high spec property thoughtfully and generously resourced. We very much appreciated the friendly and helpful support from the caretaking neighbour. The location, although a little way out of Seahouses was very pleasant and quiet. We only had bikes to get around, but it proved to be an ideal spot from which to explore.
Great cottage in a superb location. So many things to do in the area. Highly recommended.
Brindles Cottage was the most beautiful house. Everything was immaculately clean and of a very high standard, making our stay a very comfortable one. The only thing we felt was missing was some sort of mirrordressing table in the main bedroom. It was difficult to use a hairdryer! Would definitely return however, and would not hesitate recommending this lovely place. Many thanks!
Samuel
A lovely, modern, spacious house in the nicest part of North SunderlandSeahouses. Looked great in the online offer and the reality more than matched it. Peaceful, tranquil location.
We had a fantastic holiday in Seahouses and what can we say about the accommodation at Brindles Cottage other than it was the best self catering we have ever stayed in. The owners have thought about absolutely everything in the house and outside that you would need to ensure your stay was memorable. The facilities were excellent and we would highly recommend this property.
Nicola
Lovely property, great location and very clean and tidy.

Directions to the property could be improved.

The cottage was amazing. Home from home experience. Ideally situated for visiting the lovely beaches in the county. Only slight criticism, the double bed was quite small . Would definitely recommend this property .
