Rodney is a 200-year-old character property in the old village centre of North Sunderland, Seahouses, Northumberland. Part of the James Collection and rated 5 out of 5, Rodney sits opposite St Paul's Church, set back from the road behind what was originally the village post office. Renovated to a very high standard in 2020, it combines original period features with modern comfort throughout.

Seahouses harbour is a 10-minute walk away. From there you can take boat trips to the Farne Islands to see grey seal colonies and nesting seabirds. Bamburgh's wide sandy beaches are a short drive away. The Northumberland Heritage Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Two kingsize bedrooms sleep up to 4 adults. Bedroom 1 has a 5ft kingsize bed and en-suite walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has a 5ft kingsize bed and access to a large bathroom with an original cast iron claw-foot bath and pentagon shower. Note: this property has no hot tub.

Alnwick Castle is roughly 16 miles away (25 minutes). The Alnwick Garden with its Grand Cascade and famous treehouse restaurant is nearby. Bamburgh Castle is around 5 miles (10 minutes). Budle Bay bird sanctuary is just beyond Bamburgh.

Rodney is strictly adults only and is not suitable for children. The property accommodates guests aged 18 and over only. Families with children should look at alternative properties in the Seahouses area.
For Couples
Rodney is well suited to couples. Two kingsize bedrooms with The White Company linen, a woodburner with logs included, an original claw-foot cast iron bath and a quiet courtyard garden all make for a proper break. Seahouses harbour is 10 minutes on foot.
Pet Friendly
