The Strand Cottage is a single-storey detached cottage in Seahouses, Northumberland, sitting within 100 metres of the sea. Managed by Laura, this is a well-presented property on the peaceful outskirts of the village. The coastal path starts right from the doorstep, heading north to Bamburgh Castle and south to Beadnell Bay.

Seahouses is a working harbour village with shops, pubs and restaurants all within half a mile. Boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from the harbour, where you can spot puffins and grey seals. The south-facing enclosed courtyard garden lets you sit outside and hear the sea.

The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms. The king-size room is tastefully furnished with plenty of storage. The bunk bedroom suits younger guests. There is one shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is fully equipped including an air fryer, dishwasher and washer-dryer.

Bamburgh Castle is 2.5 miles away. Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden are within 16 miles. Dunstanburgh Castle and Howick Hall Gardens are also within easy reach. Private parking for up to three cars is available at the front.
