This cottage is well located nearby to the village, local eateries and shops. Great for walking starting point for coastal walks. It is a quiet area with fabulous view on the Farne Islands. It has most things you may need, and the welcome pack has milk portions and tea, coffee, and biscuits for arrival and another pack has bin bags, dish washer tablets and fairy liquid portion. A brush for washing dishes would be helpful. I would love a pepper grind and salt dispenser. The patio is discrete and private apart from next door semi. But our neighbours didn't use the garden so not an issue. The local area doesn't do much on the recycling side of things, so I brought lots of plastics, aluminum , glass back home with me. We had a hot water emergency, and the out of hours response and help was excellent. The book with advice and appliances could do with some updating. The beds were comfortable, but the bedding was aimed at winter, so maybe some cooler weather bedding would be useful, sheets? lighter duvet? All in all a great place to stay. We will be back. This was our third stay in the cottage. Thank you

What a lovely house. This had everything you need for a great holiday. Great parking on site. The location was perfect for walking into town and also for accessing the beaches. You can walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh Castle or to Beadnell along the beaches which make a stunning walk. We also visited Alnwick and had lunch at Sonnet restaurant which is Michelin star. This was beautiful with the food being amazing. We will definitely return to this property as it has everything we needed.

The instructions for the heating did not work so we were very cold until we were able to contact your office on Monday.

Comfy clean house with spectacular sea views

Wonderful accommodation, very clean, well equiped and well maintained. Good sized rear garden with both patio & grassed area, which was great for our German shepherd. Lots of different wild life to see in the garden and close by. Great view across to the Farne Islands. Close to town and lovely coastle walks.

Fantastic property with outstanding views. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Also a lovely big enclosed garden for dogs.

We had a lovely 5 days at Glenavon. Loved the location and the views over the sea. The house had all the amenities we needed, had a great enclosed garden for the dog & was a cosy place to relax at the end of the day.

Great location but property needs attention. New bed but still not comfy. Sofas have had their day and cleaners need to do more, dust and tiles in shower not clean on our arrival
