Seahares Reviews

Rachael
Seahares is just perfect in every way. There are so many thoughtful & personal touches and the owner has thought of everything to make for a really comfortable stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and in a really great location. It is so quiet & a super comfy bed we slept like logs every night! We have stayed in many cottages throughout the UK over the years and this is one of the best by far. Weve just returned and straight away booked again for next year! Highly recommend.

Lounge radiator was not working & the central heating thermostat was difficult to understand & no instructions were available. Luckily the weather was mild so heating not a big issue.
We had a fabulous holiday in Seahares Cottage. The cottage was beautiful, with everything you could need. The attention to detail was outstanding. We loved all the beautiful pictures and ornaments that you don't usually get in a holiday cottage. It was very homely and incredibly peaceful. We will return.
We have just got home from a wonderful week in Seahares, simply the best cottage yet, have stayed every year in Seahouses for many years and this is by far the cleanest, comfiest and best equipped cottage. The garden is perfect for dogs as fully enclosed and the bonus of spacious parking is the cherry on the cake. The welcome basket and household provisions were superb, thank you so much, we will be back.

Having used this property for a number of years the present owner has kept up to an excellent standard. The location is very handy for local shops and amenities the extras supplied by the owner are very welcome eggs milk treats. All in all a very pleasant place to stay. off road parking a bonus
Gorgeous, and really well equipped cottage with lots of attention to detail and everything we could need. The location in Seahouses is great, with the harbour at the bottom of the road and easy access to beaches and the coastal path. The bottle of pink fizz, fresh eggs and welcome basket were also a lovely touch.
Seahares exceeded our expectations. It was a real home from home for my wife and I and our dog. Very conveniently placed in a quiet street with a short walk to harbour, shops and pubs. The booking process with Sykes was efficient, and empathic as they changed dates for us without fuss when our dog took ill. We were very grateful for that, thank you. I would highly recommend Sykes and Seahares is fab, 1010, we look forward to returning.

Fabulous property. Everything we needed and more. We struggled a bit with the shower thats our age! and would have preferred a walk in showerbut that is the only thingif you could change that it would be perfect!!!
Joanne
A lovely comfortable and well equipped cottage where everything has been thought of. Comfy beds and sofas and log burner. Enclosed garden for dogs. Within a very short walk of eateries, boat trips and shops. A place you wont be disappointed with.
This my second visit to the property, a family break over the Easter weekend. It was lovely to return and everything was as excellent as the first time. The property is lovely, comfortable and clean. Plenty of equipment if you want to cook, great location for town amenities if you want to eat out. Weather was kind, and the short distance from the cottage to the harbour and beaches is made for lovely walks. Hopefully we will return soon.
An absolutely superb cottage, we felt privileged to be there. If you want somewhere to chill, this is the place. As for location, this cottage is ideally situated for beach, shops, restaurants,

Seahares is a pretty cottage, located in a quiet but central position. Decorated with lovely colours. Well equipped and very comfy bed. There is a sunny front patio garden with off street parking, safe and secure for doggie companion. Immaculately clean. We were delighted with the welcome hamper of snacks, eggs, milk and fizz. Already looking to rebook.
What an amazing week. Seahares Cottage is an absolute delight. The interior decoration is fabulous. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. We had the good fortune of having a full week of sunny weather so didn't need the woodburner but I would imagine it would be very cosy. The cottage is situated within minutes of the harbour, shops and pubs but was still really quiet. Fantastic walks along the beach to Bamburgh and Beadnell where The Landing made for a great lunch stop. Wonderful week, wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Superb holiday cottage. So well equipped. Clean and comfortable. If we return to the area we will definitely stay here again
Amanda
This is a delightful cottage, very well presented with everything you could possibly need and more. In a great location close to everything in Seahouses but also very quiet at the same time. We loved our week there
Charlotte
A very nice, cosy cottage. Perfect for the two of us. Location was great, very close to all the amenities and to places to visit. We will happily return.
Michael
Beautiful homely property presented immaculately by the owners located in prime position and with parking. So impressed we've booked already for next year.
Seahares is a great place , centrally based in Seahouses close to all the shops . Seahares is a cosy cottage with a great homely feel.
Seahares is ideally situated to explore the stunning Northumbria coastline. Tucked away down a quiet street, the nearby small beach ideal for dogball throwing is within 2 minutes from the front gate. The cottage itself is gorgeous the owner clearly has fantastic taste and a flair for interior design. We cooked at home each evening the penalty of owning an elderly dog and the cottage had all the utensils and equipment that we needed. The lounge area is really comfortable with as many cushions and rugs as you could wish for. The bed we only slept in the one was really comfortable and, after so much walking we slept really well. The bathroom is well equipped and has a very efficient shower. The enclosed area for the dogs is at the front of the house where you can park your car and there is no back garden and no 'views', but there is a bench table where you can eat outside if the weather is kind. Nevertheless, with the beach nearby and the long glorious beaches of the coastline from Bamburgh to Craster within a short on the lead walk or a drive, it is dog heaven. The area is of course steeped in history and you can get your fill of castles. We took a boat trip to the Farne Islands see the puffins and then the seals both of which were well worth the time...and drove to Lindisfarne another 'must visit'. Many people had told us of the beauty of this area, and it exceeded expectations. We would love to come back and would definitely return to Seahares..

As someone who used to own two holiday lets I have to say I was extremely impressed with the cottage, its location in the heart of Seahouses, but with a private parking space, and its facilities, plus an impressive welcome pack. The ultimate test is whether you would repeat the experience I would have no hesitation in so doing.
Great cottage. Great location. Parking space Great bonus. We'll thought out with lots of home comforts. Lovely welcome pack. Nothing to fault at all. Spotlessly clean which is all you ask for x
This cottage is unbelievably fabulous it has everything you need and more the attention to detail is incredible. It is so comfortable, clean and cosy , and has its own parking space . We have only just got back and have already checked availability, having seen all the bookings it will have to be next year .

Everything perfect. Very comfortable and cosy Autumn stay.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. So many extra touches in the cottage that made the stay perfect. The welcome basket was a great touch after a long journey up. Great parking which is a plus in Seahouses and close to all amenities. We hope to be back again!
Fabulous holiday cottage everything you could need and more spotless clean ... Fabulous holiday cottage everything you could need and more spotless clean comfortable beds off road parking central for everything but in a quit spot lovely south facing private seating area and the welcome pack was a lovely touch if I could give it more than five stars I would we will definitely be back
This is the best holiday cottage weve ever stayed at. Everything there to make our stay comfortable and homely. We especially appreciated the Welcome Pack provided on our arrival, which meant we didnt have to dash out for milk to make a cuppa! There was even packs of biscuits! The cottage was spotless, comfy bed, fluffy towels, even found in the shed buckets and spades etc., perfect if youve children staying. The cottage is tucked away in the old part a stones throw from Seahouses harbour, with pubs very close by..Perfect!
Beautiful cottage, we loved the art and all the extra touches. It was very well equipped and soap etc provided.Generous welcome basked and we really appreciated the milk in the fride. Fantastic location and the parking provided made life easy. We would love to stay at Seahares again.

The cottage was lovely, had everything that we needed and it was so homely. The welcome pack was also a lovely touch. It was our first family holiday since before Covid, Seahouses is a lovely place and Seahares cottage was a great destination. Thank you
Kathleen
This cottage must be the best equipped we have stayed in,the attention to detail is wonderful. Such a welcoming and homely feel and the decor was very well done.Great welcome gifts as well.Only thing I would comment on was the fact we couldn't get the vacuum to work as we bring our own pillows in vacuum bags,so unfortunately we couldn't suction the bags to return home. That wouldn't affect everyone necessarily. So overall 10 put of 10 for this property.
Jacqui
The cottage is exceptional it has every thing you need. The welcome pack was great .The cottage is in the old part of town in walking distance to everything. There is off road parking and the garden was very secure for our dogs and it has an outside picnic bench which was lovely to sit and have a coffee in the morning. There are two Pubs 20 yards away and there is a Cost Cutter at the end of the road and a Coop 10 minutes walk away. There is a lovely Italian restaraunt and two Indian restaraunts. There are three Fish and chips shops all with indoor seating and a chinese takeaway.Everything about this holiday cottage made our holiday very special. The location is spot on.
Beautiful cottage, had everything you could want & more. Would highly recommend.
